Applicants in their final year of study towards an undergraduate qualification who intend to proceed to postgraduate studies in 2024 are reminded that the deadline for applications is Friday 17 November 2023.

Submission of Assignments and Availability of Examination Timetable

Dear Students,

Students who have been affected by the recent myModules downtimes are advised to visit module sites to take note of the new assignment due dates. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We recently communicated the key dates that are crucial for finalizing the 2023 Academic year. Of utmost importance is ensuring that students adhere to admission requirements by September 13, 2023. It is therefore critical that students check assignment due dates to ensure timely submission, which is essential for gaining entry to the examinations. All assessment activities (including examinations) are conducted online. CTA students are encouraged to refer to module communications in this regard.

A recent incident necessitated a new login method for myUnisa.

Below login changes for myModules will be implemented midnight from 8th September 2023.

NOTE: Users should refresh their previously stored Favourites or Cached pages before accessing myUnisa.

Make sure you read the rules of the groups.

Next, please join your 2nd semester groups. Open the file section and type in 101 into the search bar. PLEASE read the tutorial letter 101 2023 FIRST. Please DO NOT wait for registration to be finalised, or for UNISA to send you material. Everything you need you will find on the groups files.

Release of results

- Final examination results will be released as they become available on myUnisa.
- No results will be released to a candidate before he / she has returned all books borrowed from the University Library and settled any outstanding fees.
- No results will be given telephonically by academic or administrative members of staff .
- No timetables for supplementary exams will be made available if fees or Library books are owed.

Exam results are made available on following platforms:
- E-mail: Register on myUnisa and indicate that you would like to receive your results via e-mail.
- Posted: Hard copies of examination results are mailed to each candidate after the official date of release/printing.

Please note:
- Confirmation of completion of qualification: Please note that confirmation of completion of qualifications for students who wrote examinations in

- January / February 2023 will be made available as from the end of April 2023.
- May / June 2023 will be made available as from the end of August 2023.

Aegrotat application process
Students are reminded that undergraduate students may not apply for an Aegrotat. Undergraduate students are entitled to use two consecutive opportunities per module to take their examinations. The second examination opportunity caters to missed or failed examinations in the first examination opportunity. Undergraduate students who apply for an aegrotat will automatically receive a system error.

Aegrotat applications are thus only permitted for postgraduate students who missed their first examination opportunity. Postgraduate students who were adversely affected by loadshedding and/or network challenges during their examinations or who experienced the death of loved ones or illness during the examinations are requested to apply online for an aegrotat within 10 days of their scheduled examination sitting. Aegrotat applications are not considered after the release of marks. Aegrotat applications will not be processed for postgraduate students who missed their second opportunity. Students are advised to visit the Aegrotat and Special Exams (unisa.ac.za) web page for the application process. The institution no longer accepts Aegrotat applications submitted via e-mail.

In accordance with policy, Unisa does not grant third examination opportunities to students to rewrite their missed examinations. In such cases, students are required to re-register for the module.

Please note: Modules with portfolio (evidence-based) assessment, continuous assessment, practical assessment or experiential assessment and those modules which require research reports are not granted an aegrotat opportunity.

Please note, Unisa DOES NOT have these departments on Telegram. The owners and operators of these chats are trying to SCAM YOU.

Make sure that you ONLY communicate payment details, applications, personal information, and passwords with the university through your myLife email address to a valid university email address.

Furthermore, any “tutors” found to be selling assignment and/or exam assistance will be found, reported, and banned. Anybody asking for this type of assistance will be found, reported, and banned. We, as admin, take academic dishonesty extremely seriously and we will take every step available to us to ensure that cheaters are eradicated from our platform, and ultimately from the student community. 2023-05-10 14:34:51 It is that time of the year and we are ready to commence the May/June 2023 online examination period which will start on 8 May 2023. We wish all our students well as they prepare for the May/June 2023 online examinations.

As you prepare, please follow the below steps to ensure that you are ready for the online examination:It is important that you know ahead of time when your module is written by accessing your examination timetable.
2 All your examination question papers will be available on the myExams platform. Test your access prior to the sitting of the examination by clicking on your module code on the day of your examination. To access your examination question paper or multiple-choice questions visit the myExams platform.
3 It's equally important to determine the proctoring tool that will be utilised for your examination by following the proctoring tool link and inserting your module code.
