On this special day, when we celebrate your outstanding role in the development of society, we cannot ignore the difficult reality that our country is facing in the wake of russian aggression.
Unfortunately, since the beginning of the war, journalists have become victims of acts of violence and repression that have led to a large number of deaths, which is an irreversible loss for world journalism.
First and foremost, the Committee on Freedom expresses its deepest condolences to the families and colleagues of the deceased journalists on the loss of their loved ones and colleagues.
We are grateful for your fearless work in the face of threats and restrictions.
