USAID AGRO Programme has provided fertilisers and seeds to 8,223 agricultural producers, — the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.As part of the AGRI-Ukraine Agricultural Sector Resilience Initiative launched by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the USAID Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRO) Programme has completed the transfer of mineral fertilisers and sunflower and corn seeds to farmers. The assistance was provided to 8,223 agricultural producers in 15 regions of the country.
The programme was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and Bayer. The programme was administered by local partners — the Grain Cooperative and the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities.
In March 2023, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Ukraine with a cultivated area of 5 to 500 hectares and engaged in the cultivation of grains and oilseeds had the opportunity to apply for assistance through the State Agrarian Register (SAR).
