Mass fires burning village houses in Russia’s Irkutsk region

30 country homes and farm buildings are burning on the grounds of five gardening communities near Bratsk in Irkutsk region, where residents are being urged to evacuate as soon as possible.

Local authorities have warned the situation is serious as the fire is spreading rapidly and threatening residential buildings due to strong winds. More than 40 rescuers are working at the scene.

Another young woman has committed su!c!de alongside her daughter. From the videos she posted on TikTok, Shiro Ka Ribui, one can tell she was in some distress but no one reached out to her on time. #MentalHealth

SAD: 29-year-old Moreen Wangui has thrown herself into the River Nyamindi at Kabiro-inī village in Gichugu sub-county, where she was visiting her grandparents.

Moreen threw herself into the fast-flowing river with her 5-year-old daughter strapped to her back. The reason for her actions has not been established yet. Efforts to retrieve the bodies are ongoing.
