  LV systolic and diastolic abnormalities are as common as in the wild‐type variant but were usually recorded before acute infection and probably reflect background cardiac morbidity.

We showed that the most common cardiac manifestations are right ventricular (RV) dysfunction or dilatation, followed by left ventricular (LV) diastolic dysfunction, pericardial effusion, and systolic dysfunction


  Importantly, numerous RV and LV echocardiographic parameters are associated with poor outcome in hospitalized patients with Omicron.
