Takeaways from the latest NMC DRAFT regarding NEXT!
1. No date/year/batch specified for the launch of NEXT
2. NExt 1 will be a 1. Licentiate exam 2. Pg entrance exam
3. Next will apply to all IMG s and FMGE s
4. Neet and next may run parallel if the situation rises.
If not, then NEET shall be ceased and only NEXT will be there.
5. NEXT 1 will be an online, MCQ-based theoretical exam having one or more than one types of MCQ
6. The exam shall have 6 papers with 2 sessions per day

Pre lunch-120 ques in 3 hours
1. Medicine and allied subjects

7. Eligibility: students who have cleared 3rd and 4th Mbbs courses from a medical college
8. There shall be a regular step 1 and then a supplementary step 1.
9. Both will be held once a year
10. If you fail in both, you shall appear in the next 1 regular in the following year
10. No restrictions to the number of attempts if a student has passed both step 1 and step 2 exams within 10 years of joining mbbs course
11. There is no restriction to the number of attempts to appear in the Next Step 1 Regular Examination to improve scores provided these examinations for improvement of scores are taken at least after one year of completion of NExT Step 2
12. NEXT 1 shall replace the university final proof exam
