These developments are reminiscent of the nightmarish totalitarian future described by Aldous Huxley in his 1932 dystopian science fiction novel "O Wonderful New World", where he describes a transhumanist society run by a technocratic elite, with children encouraged to participate in "erotic play" and procreation taking place in test tubes. In the book, sexual intercourse during childhood was a means of processing children towards the idea that promiscuous sex is normal and that "everyone belongs to someone else" and that lust has far more value than romantic love.
