2023-05-08 02:09:02 Imām Harb al-Kirmānī رحمه الله stated:

Amr ibn Al-‘Abbās narrated to us and said: ‘Abdur-Rahman ibn Mahdī narrated to us, from Mansūr ibn Sa’d, from Budhayl Al- ‘Uqaylī, from ‘Abdullāh ibn Shaqīq, from Maysarah Al-Fajr who said: “Oh Messenger of Allāh, when was it written that you would be a prophet?”

He (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When Ādam was between the soul and the body.”

حدثنا عمر بن العباس، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، عن بديل العقيلي، عن عبد الله ابن شقيق، عن ميسرة الفجر، قال. قلت: يا رسول الله، متى كتبت نبيا؟
قال: وآدم بين الروح والجسد.

2023-05-04 02:20:31 Imām Harb al-Kirmānī رحمه الله stated:

I said to Ishāq: The hadīth of Maysarah Al-Fajr who said: I said: “Oh Messenger of Allāh, when was it written that you would be a prophet?”

He (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When Ādam was between the soul and the body.” What does it mean?

He said: “Before He breathed the soul into him while he was (already) created.”

قلت لإسحاق: حديث ميسرة الفجر، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، متى كتبت نبيا؟
قال: وآدم بين الروح والجسد. ما معناه ؟
قال: قبل أن ينفخ فيه الروح وقد خلق.

And Allāh is Hearing, He does not doubt. Seeing, He does not become uncertain. Knowing, He is not ignorant. Generous, He is not stingy. Forbearing, He does not haste. Preserving, He does not forget. Attentive, He is not careless. Observant, He is not heedless. He speaks, moves, hears, sees, looks, grasps, releases, [laughs], becomes happy, loves, dislikes, hates, becomes dissatisfied, becomes angry, shows mercy, pardons, forgives, gives, withholds and He descends every night to the lowest heaven however He wants and just as He wants.

“Nothing is similar to Him, and He is the Hearing the Seeing.”
(Ash-Shūrā 42:11).

والله تبارك سميع لا يشك، بصير لا يرتاب، عليم لا يجهل، جواد لا يبخل، حليم لا يعجل، حفيظ لا ينسي، يقظان لا يسهو، رقيب لا يغفل، يتكلم، ويتحرك، ويسمع، ويبصر، وينظر، ويقبض، ويبسط، [ويضحك] ويفرح، ويحب، ويكره، ويبغض ويرضى، ويسخط، ويغضب، ويرحم، ويعفو، ويغفر، ويعطي ويمنع، وينزل كل ليلة إلى السماء الدنيا، كيف شاء، وكما شاء.

ليس كمثله شىء وهو السميع البصير.

The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Shall I not direct you to a word among the treasures of Paradise beneath the Throne? La hawla wa la quwwata illa Billāh. Allāh says: My servant has completely surrendered to Me.”

Ka’b ibn Mālik, may Allāh be pleased with him, said: Whoever fasts the month of Ramadān and he says to himself that he will return to sinful disobedience when Ramadān is over, his fasting is rejected.

عن ابن رجب رحمه الله قَالَ كَعْبْ بْنُ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ ‏مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَـانَ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَـهُ أَنَّهُ إِذَا خَرَجَ رَمَضَـانُ عَصَىٰ رَبَّهُ فَصِيَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ مَـرْدُوْدٌ

2023-04-21 02:54:01 [Ruling if the day of Eid coincides with the day of Jumuah]

- If the day of eid coincides with the day of jumuah, it's permissible to suffice with just the eid prayer.

- It is recommended to attend both the eid prayer and the Jumuah prayer.

-Whoever misses the eid prayer and only catches the Eid khutbah must attend the Jumuah prayer.

- The Zuhur prayer in congregation is still obligatory. If there is no congregation at his location he can pray individually.

- This ruling does not include the Imām. The Imām must establish the Jumuah prayer in the masjid regardless. So if 40 people are present he should give the khutbah and if the number of attendees is less than 40 he should pray Zuhur in congregation.

- The concession of the one not attending the Jumuah prayer is like the concession of the sick person. It's not obligatory for them to attend the Jumuah prayer but if they are present in the masjid at the time of the khutbah, it becomes obligatory for them to pray the Jumuah prayer.

- Evidence: Narrated Abū Hurayrah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Two festivals ('Eid and Friday) have synchronised on this day. If anyone does not want to offer the Friday prayer, the Eid prayer is sufficient for him. But we shall offer the Friday prayer.

- This opinion is specific to the Hanbalī Madhab and it is the opinion of many of the great Sahābah such as Umar, Uthmān and Alī (may Allāh be pleased with them all).
