Fenella wrote romantic novels, which were eagerly read by her many fans. All her heroes were tall, handsome and faithful, with voices and bodies to make women tingle.

Her husband was an ordinary man, with ordinary human failings, and a very ordinary body.

Fenella still loved him, but in bed she kept subconsciously comparing him to the growing number of perfect lovers in her mind. He knew he no longer pleased her.

Then she found he was having an affair.

Fenella’s next book was about a woman who murdered her husband. It was non-fiction, and hand-written.
