To our customers on the West Coast (San Jose, Los Angeles, Seattle):

Please be advised that one of our bandwidth providers, Cogent, is currently experiencing issues on the U.S. West Coast due to fiber cuts. This means that routes/paths typically transmitted through Cogent may be temporarily affected, resulting in increased latency and/or packet loss.

To be clear, this issue affects all West Coast data centers and providers using Cogent as a carrier; it is not specific to CheerVision.

Given that this is a significant issue impacting many other data centers on the West Coast, we expect that Cogent is addressing this issue with the highest priority and urgency. Thank you for your patience.

Currently, the latest update from Cogent is as follows:

"Customers traversing our network on the West Coast of North America may experience latency and packet loss. This is due to multiple fiber cuts within our provider's network in the Los Angeles area. We have reached out to the provider, and they are dispatching crews to investigate the cuts further. There is currently no estimated time of repair (ETR). The main case number is HD303782528."
