Bitpanda manages client assets as a trustee, the client remains the beneficial owner. But what does that mean?

1. There is a clear, legally binding, separation between our own assets and those of our customers.
2. We cannot speculate with our customers’ assets, even if we wanted to.
3. If something were to go wrong, the client cannot be treated as an unsecured creditor and there is no risk of the client losing their assets.

However, we have heard your concerns and realise that given the developments around FTX our word is only worth as much as your trust in us. Therefore, we have tasked KPMG with the fulfilment of agreed-upon procedures to verify that customer funds are covered by the corresponding crypto-funds stored on Bitpanda’s cold wallets.
