The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Spain to Ukraine Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Jagu. The following issues were discussed:
current security challenges in Europe, the current security situation in Ukraine and the situation at the frontline;
humanitarian consequences of armed aggression and the problems of refugees and
internally displaced persons;
strengthening military and technical assistance to Ukraine and treatment of the wounded;
sanctions policy and subsequent EU sanctions packages aimed at isolating russia;
confiscation of russian assets in favour of Ukraine.
The parties exchanged views on the establishment of a special international tribunal, cooperation within the UN and with Latin American countries, and the restoration of Ukraine.
