PRELIMINARY PUZZLE
Eight persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and X are living in eight different floors of an eight-floor building, in such a way ground floor is numbered as 1 and the top floor is numbered as 8. Each of them is different ages i.e. 15, 17, 18, 25, 27, 37, 49 and 64 but not necessarily in the same order.
The one whose age is a perfect square of odd number lives on the 4th floor. S lives on the 6th floor. One person lives between S and Q. The difference between the age of U and R is 10 year. Neither U nor R’s age is a prime number. Five persons live between V and X, who does not live above T. Q is not 49 years old. Two persons live between P and T, whose age is a prime number. T does not live just above and just below the floor on which the one whose age is 49 years lives. V’s age is a perfect square of the even number. The sum of age of S and the one who lives on the 3rd floor is 64 years. Q’s age is not less than 20years. U’s age is more than X and less than T. P’s age is less than X.
आठ व्यक्ति P, Q, R, S, T, U, V और X एक आठ मंजिला इमारत में विभिन्न मंजिलों पर रहते हैं. जिसमें सबसे नीचे वाली मंजिल की संख्या 1 है और शीर्ष मंजिल की संख्या 8 है. उनमें से प्रत्येक की आयु भिन्न है अर्थात 15, 17, 18, 25, 27, 37, 49 और 64 लेकिन आवश्यक नहीं की इसी क्रम में हों.
वह व्यक्ति जिसकी आयु विषम संख्या का सटीक वर्ग है वह चौथी मंजिल पर रहता है. S छठी मंजिल पर रहता है. एक व्यक्ति S और Q के मध्य रहता है. U और R की आयु के मध्य का अंतर 10 वर्ष है. न तो U न ही R की आयु अभाज्य संख्या है. पांच व्यक्ति B और X के मध्य रहते हैं जो T के ऊपर नहीं रहते हैं. Q, 49 वर्षीय नहीं है. दो व्यक्ति P और T के मध्य रहते हैं, जिसकी आयु अभाज्य संख्या है. T, 49 वर्ष की आयु वाले व्यक्ति की मंजिल के ठीक ऊपर और ठीक नीचे नहीं रहता है. V की आयु सम संख्या का एक सटीक वर्ग है. S और तीसरी मंजिल पर रहने वाले व्यक्ति की आयु का योग 64 वर्ष है. Q की आयु 20 वर्ष से कम नहीं है. U की आयु X से अधिक और T से कम है. P की आयु X से कम है.
