How did Trump win in 2016 if elections are rigged? I believe Trump won a race that was rigged in the wrong places. I think it was “fortified” along the 2004 electoral map, without consideration to the two-time Obama voters in the Midwest changing coalitions. Since 2004, the GOP “lost” CO, VA, NV, and NM (33 electoral votes from Bush’s weak 286 win) for good - Clinton won all of those. Trump’s win required flips of OH, IA, FL and then the big three in the Midwest. Yes, they thought they had it.
