Julie Theobald was admitted to an intensive care unit in Melbourne on June 10 after a sniffly bout of the flu worsened and she contracted pneumonia.
Daughter Jessica Theobald said her mum, who had underlying health conditions, was taken to hospital by medievac - the first time had flown in a plane.
She passed away after two weeks in the ICU.
