God remains in the tomb, but in a few hours will burst forth with so much life that death will have no recourse but to die.

Holy Saturday reminds us that the space between death and resurrection is often dark, lonely, and disorienting.

Life can feel like one long Holy Saturday.

But we are invited to cling to God nonetheless because something new is about to burst forth.

አምላኬ፣ አምላኬ ለምን ተውኸኝ? እኔን ከማዳን፣ ከመቃተቴም ቃል ለምን ራቅህ?

አምላኬ ሆይ፤ በቀን ወደ አንተ ጮኻለሁ፤ አንተ ግን አልመለስህልኝም፤ በሌሊት እንኳ አላረፍሁም።

አንተ ግን ቅዱሱ ነጋሢ፤ የእስራኤልም ምስጋና ነህ።

አባቶቻችን በአንተ ታመኑ፤ ተማመኑብህ፤ አንተም ታደግሃቸው።

ወደ አንተ ጮኹ፤ ዳኑም፤ በአንተም ታመኑ፤ አላፈሩም።

እኔ ግን ትል እንጂ ሰው አይደለሁም፤ ሰው ያላገጠብኝ፣ ሕዝብም የናቀኝ ነኝ።

የሚያዩኝ ሁሉ ይሣለቁብኛል፤ ራሳቸውንም እየነቀነቁ እንዲህ እያሉ ይዘልፉኛል፤

“በእግዚአብሔር ተማምኗል፤ እንግዲህ እርሱ ያድነው፤
ደስ የተሰኘበትን፣ እስቲ ይታደገው።”

አንተ ግን ከማሕፀን አወጣኸኝ፤ በእናቴም ጡት ሳለሁ፣ መታመኛ ሆንኸኝ።

ከማሕፀን ስወጣም በአንተ ላይ ተጣልሁ፤ ከእናቴ ሆድ ጀምሮም አንተ አምላኬ ነህ።

መከራ እየተቃረበ ነውና፣ የሚረዳኝም የለምና፣ ከእኔ አትራቅ።

ብዙ ኰርማዎች ከበቡኝ፤ ኀይለኛ የባሳን በሬዎችም ዙሪያዬን ቆሙ።

እንደሚነጥቅና እንደሚያገሣ አንበሳ፣ አፋቸውን ከፈቱብኝ።

እንደ ውሃ ፈሰስሁ፤ ዐጥንቶቼም ሁሉ ከመጋጠሚያቸው ወለቁ፤ ልቤ እንደ ሰም ሆነ፤ በውስጤም ቀለጠ።

ጕልበቴ እንደ ገል ደረቀ፤ ምላሴ ከላንቃዬ ጋር ተጣበቀ፤ ወደ ሞት ዐፈርም አወረድኸኝ።

ውሾች ከበቡኝ፤ የክፉዎች ሸንጎ በዙሪያዬ ተሰልፏል፤ እጆቼንና እግሮቼንም ቸነከሩኝ።

ዐጥንቶቼን ሁሉ አንድ በአንድ መቍጠር እችላለሁ፤ እነርሱም አፍጥጠው ይመለከቱኛል።

ልብሶቼን ተከፋፈሉ፤ በእጀ ጠባቤም ላይ ዕጣ ተጣጣሉ።

አንተ ግን፣ እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ ከእኔ አትራቅ፤ ዐጋዤ ሆይ፤ እኔን ለመርዳት ፍጠን።

ነፍሴን ከሰይፍ ታደጋት፤ ውድ ሕይወቴንም ከውሾች ጡጫ አድናት።

ከአንበሶች አፍ አድነኝ፤ ከአውራሪስ ቀንድም ታደገኝ።

ስምህን ለወንድሞቼ እነግራለሁ፤ በጉባኤም መካከል አመሰግንሃለሁ።

እናንተ እግዚአብሔርን የምትፈሩ፤ አወድሱት፤ እናንተ የያቆብ ዘር ሁላችሁ፤ አክብሩት፤ የእስራኤልም ዘር ሁላችሁ፤ እርሱን ፍሩት።

እርሱ የተጨነቀውን ሰው ጭንቀት፣ አልናቀም፤ ቸልም አላለምና፤ ፊቱንም ከእርሱ አልሰወረም፤ ነገር ግን ድረስልኝ ብሎ ሲጮኽ ሰማው።

በታላቅ ጉባኤ የማቀርበው ምስጋናዬ ከአንተ የመጣ ነው፤ እርሱን በሚፈሩት ፊት ስእለቴን እፈጽማለሁ።

ምስኪኖች በልተው ይጠግባሉ፤ እግዚአብሔርን የሚሹትም ያመሰግኑታል፤ ልባችሁም ለዘላለም ሕያው ይሁን!

የምድር ዳርቻዎች ሁሉ ያስታውሳሉ፤ ወደ እግዚአብሔርም ይመለሳሉ፤ የሕዝቦች ነገዶች ሁሉ፣ በፊቱ ይሰግዳሉ።

መንግሥት የእግዚአብሔር ናትና፤ ሕዝቦችንም የሚገዛ እርሱ ነው።

የምድር ከበርቴዎች ይበላሉ፤ ይሰግዱለታልም፤ ነፍሱን በሕይወት ማቈየት የማይችለው፣ ወደ ዐፈር ተመላሽ የሆነው ሁሉ በፊቱ ይንበረከካል።

የኋለኛው ትውልድ ያገለግለዋል፤ ለመጪው ትውልድ ስለ ጌታ ይነገረዋል።

ገና ላልተወለደ ሕዝብ፣ ጽድቁን ይነግራሉ፤ እርሱ ይህን አድርጓልና።

2023-04-12 14:56:42 On the Wednesday before his death, Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the Leper. As he sat at the supper table with his disciples, a woman named Mary anointed Jesus' head and feet with a costly oil of spikenard. The disciples were indignant, asking why the oil was not instead sold and the money given to the poor. But Judas Iscariot wanted to keep the money for himself. Then Judas went to the Sanhedrin and offered to deliver Jesus to them in exchange for money. From this moment on, Judas sought an opportunity to betray Jesus.
